GOALIE

Privacy Policy

Effective October 23, 2026

This policy explains how Goalie ("Goalie," "we," "us") handles your information when you use the Goalie app and this website. Goalie is made by Tanner Witte in Utah, USA. If you have any questions, email .

The short version

  • We don't sell your data, share it with advertisers, or give it to anyone else.
  • We don't look at your goals, entries, to-dos or visions. We only access your account data if you ask us to (for example, for help with a problem) or if the law requires it.
  • Your Screen Time choices (which apps you lock, and your app usage) never leave your phone.
  • No ads, no tracking across other apps or websites, and no third-party analytics.
  • You can export your data or delete your account and its data at any time.

1. Information Goalie collects

Information you create

The goals, entries (what you log and when), groups and group visions, to-dos and sections, and settings you create in the app.

Account information

If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name and email address from that service, plus an account identifier. With Sign in with Apple you can choose to hide your email; we then receive a private relay address instead of your real one.

Screen Time information

If you use app locks, Goalie uses Apple's Screen Time features. The apps you choose to lock, and how you use them, are handled by Apple on your device. Goalie can't see your app usage, and none of this information is sent to us or stored in the cloud.

Crash reports

If you've allowed your iPhone to share analytics with app developers (in iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements), Apple may send us anonymous crash reports. These describe the device model, iOS version and where in the app an error happened. They don't include your goals, to-dos or account details. We use them only to fix bugs.

What we don't collect

Goalie doesn't collect your location, contacts, photos, browsing history or advertising identifiers, and doesn't use third-party analytics or advertising tools.

2. How we use information

We don't use your information for advertising, and we don't sell it.

3. When information is shared

We don't share your information with anyone except:

4. Storage and security

Synced data is stored with Google Firebase in the United States. It's encrypted while it travels between your device and the cloud and while it's stored there, and access is limited to your own account. No method of storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information and will tell you promptly if a breach affects it.

5. How long we keep it, and deleting it

6. Your choices and rights

You can, at any time:

Depending on where you live (for example, California or the European Union), you may have additional rights under laws like the CCPA or GDPR. We honor these requests for everyone and won't treat you differently for making one. We respond within 30 days.

7. Children

Goalie isn't intended for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, email us and we'll delete it.

8. Users outside the United States

Goalie is run from the United States, and your information is processed and stored there. By using Goalie you understand your information will be handled in the US as described in this policy.

9. This website

This website and the web version of Goalie are hosted by GitHub Pages. GitHub may record basic technical information, such as your IP address, for security, as described in GitHub's own privacy statement. The web version of Goalie stores your data only in your browser on your device.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update it here and change the effective date. For significant changes, we'll also let you know in the app before they take effect.
